The product

Filings you can read, and one email when two of them line up

The filings are free to read here. The part worth paying for is narrow and deliberate: Flock watches for the moment a 13F position increase and a Form 4 purchase disclosure land on the same security, and emails you if you asked it to.

Disclosures shown are public regulatory filings. Data may be delayed or incomplete. Smart-money entities may no longer hold positions shown. Not investment advice.

How it works

Step 1: Browse the filings, free

Up to the 200 largest positions by reported value for every tracked filer — security, share count and reported value — plus defensible quarter-over-quarter changes. No account or paywall on this site.

Start at the filer directory.

Step 2: See where two disclosures meet

Flock raises an overlap when a 13F filer reports a larger position inside 120 days and an insider at the same issuer files a Form 4 purchase disclosure inside 45 days. The detail view shows both filings, dated, with links to EDGAR.

The full rule is on the overlap page.

Step 3: Get told, by email, if you ask to be

Turn alerts on for the securities you care about and Flock emails you when a new overlap is raised on one of them. Off until you switch it on, and part of a paid plan.

Alerts and preferences live in your account on useflock.in.

Alerts

Exactly what an alert is

Stated as limits, because the limits are what make it trustworthy.

  • Email, and only email. There is no in-app inbox, no notification centre and no push — if you did not get an email, nothing is waiting for you somewhere else.
  • Opt-in, and part of a paid plan. Nothing is switched on for you, and no alert is sent to an account that has not asked for it.
  • Set per security. You choose the securities; an alert fires when a new overlap is raised on one of them.
  • Silent on history. When Flock loads or reloads years of past filings, that sweep runs with notifications suppressed — a backfill never emails you about a 2019 quarter.
  • One email per new overlap, not a digest of the same one. A raised overlap that is later superseded by a corrected filing is retired rather than re-sent.

Signing in, alert preferences and billing all happen on useflock.in, not on this site. This domain is the public reading surface.

What Flock is not

  • Not current holdings. A 13F describes a quarter-end that has already passed and may be filed up to 45 days after it. Flock shows what was reported, with the date it was reported for.
  • Not a recommendation. Flock publishes what was filed, by whom, and when. It never says what to do about it.
  • Not a trading product. There is no order routing, no brokerage connection, and no position tracking against your own account.
  • Not everything a filer owns. A 13F covers US-listed long equity above the reporting threshold — short positions, debt and most derivatives are outside it.

The rules behind every figure — sources, dates, exclusions — are on the methodology page.

Flock republishes information from public SEC filings for informational purposes only. Nothing on this page is a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security.

Flock is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, does not provide personalized financial advice, and owes no fiduciary duty to any reader.

Filed data lags reality: Form 13F holdings are as of quarter end and filed up to 45 days later, and Form 4 insider transactions are filed within 2 business days of the trade. Positions shown may have changed or closed, and filings may contain errors we do not correct.

Flock makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data shown and accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on it. Consult a licensed financial adviser before making investment decisions.
